Preparation
- Wash and pat dry the chicken tenders. Set aside.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: (1) flour mixed with salt and pepper, (2) whisked eggs, (3) breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
Coating
- Coat each chicken tender first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip into eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Press the breadcrumbs lightly for better adhesion.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Serving
- Let the chicken tenders cool slightly before serving with your choice of dipping sauces.
Notes
For a healthier twist, marinate chicken tenders in buttermilk for a few hours. Use panko breadcrumbs for maximum crunch. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, cook in batches if necessary.
