Ingredients
  

For the chicken tenders
  • 1 pound chicken breast tenders Marinated in buttermilk for added flavor if desired.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko works best for extra crunch.
  • 1/2 cup flour For coating.
  • 2 large eggs Whisked for dipping.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • as needed cooking spray For crisping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and pat dry the chicken tenders. Set aside.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: (1) flour mixed with salt and pepper, (2) whisked eggs, (3) breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
Coating
  1. Coat each chicken tender first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip into eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  2. Press the breadcrumbs lightly for better adhesion.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer.
  3. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Serving
  1. Let the chicken tenders cool slightly before serving with your choice of dipping sauces.

Notes

For a healthier twist, marinate chicken tenders in buttermilk for a few hours. Use panko breadcrumbs for maximum crunch. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, cook in batches if necessary.
