Main ingredients
  • 2 slices slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, sourdough)
  • 2 large large eggs
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
Optional toppings
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes for added flavor and nutrition
  • 1/2 cup spinach fresh or cooked
  • 1 tablespoon herbs fresh herbs like basil or chives for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the bread by placing the slices on a cutting board. Optionally, lightly toast them in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
  3. Crack one egg into a small bowl, season with salt and pepper, and pour the egg over each slice of bread.
  4. Top the eggs with shredded cheese and any additional toppings you desire.
Cooking
  1. Place the toast in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes, checking around the 5-minute mark.
  2. Once fully cooked with gooey cheese and set egg, carefully remove the toast from the air fryer.
Serving
  1. Let the toast cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, always preheat the air fryer. Experiment with different cheeses and add-ins. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, and reheat in the air fryer.
