Preparation
- Wash and dry the apples. Core and cut them into thin wedges to resemble fries.
- In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour, and in another bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Coating
- Dip each apple wedge in the flour to coat it lightly, followed by dipping it into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Serving
- Once done, remove the fries from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a minute. Serve them warm with the cinnamon sugar dip or plain.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, place them back in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
