Preparation
- In a medium bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and gently massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
- Remove chicken from the marinade and place it in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Serving
- Remove from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh lemon slices if desired.
Notes
Don’t skip the marinade; even a short marinating time can make a huge difference in flavor. For even cooking, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before marinating. Every air fryer is different, so keep an eye on your chicken to avoid overcooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
