Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes Leave skins on for extra crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
Optional Garnish
  • to taste fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or chives) For garnish before serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly and leave the skins on. Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then slice each half into wedges (about 6-8 wedges per potato).
  2. Place the potato wedges in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle in garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to ensure evenly coated wedges.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to do this in batches.
  3. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
Serving
  1. Once golden brown and crispy, remove the wedges from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
  2. Transfer the wedges to a platter and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the cut wedges in cold water for about 30 minutes before seasoning. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
