Preparation
- In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and sugar substitute until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, almond milk, and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth mixture.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable. If it's too wet, add a little more flour.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Scoop small portions of dough and shape them into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for about 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once done, immediately roll the warm churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Serving
- Enjoy your churro bites warm with a variety of dips.
Notes
These churro bites can also be paired with chocolate sauce or a creamy vanilla yogurt dip. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crunchiness.
